Officiate Volleyball in Kern County

Volleyball is fast, technical, and one of the most rewarding sports to officiate. Kern County's gyms are busy, and referees are needed throughout the season.

About Volleyball Officiating

What you'll do on the field

Volleyball officials work as the first referee (up on the stand) and second referee (at the net), enforcing NFHS rules and managing the flow of the match. We train new officials in mechanics, rotations, and rules, starting you at appropriate levels and advancing you as you grow.

  • First and second referee roles to learn
  • Indoor sport — officiate comfortably year-round in the gym
  • NFHS rules and mechanics instruction provided
  • Steady demand across the high school season
