Soccer is booming across Kern County, and the demand for qualified referees has never been higher. If you can run and love the game, officiating soccer keeps you in the middle of the action.
Soccer referees officiate under NFHS rules as part of a referee team — a center referee supported by assistant referees. New officials learn positioning, signaling, and rules application through training and on-field experience, advancing as their fitness and judgment develop.
Soccer meetings are every Monday at 6:00 PM at Bakersfield Christian High School, Room 441 — 12775 Stockdale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93314 (tap for directions).
Next meeting: Monday, October 5, 2026.
Meeting dates: October 5, October 12, October 19, October 26, November 2, and November 9.
New officials are always welcome — use the form to get in touch and we'll see you at the next meeting.
